DAY 2 - READY TO GO: FROM LECCE TO OTRANTO (48 KM)

Embark on a flat itinerary exploring Acaya's castle and fortified city before traversing the WWF-protected oasis 'Le Cesine,' known for its diverse migratory bird species. Visit the Grotta della Poesia and Roca Vecchia's ancient Bronze Age remnants. Conclude the day in Otranto, Italy's easternmost city, with overnight camping.

DAY 3 - BETWEEN SEA AND COUNTRYSIDE: FROM OTRANTO TO PORTO BADISCO (29 KM)

Delve into Otranto's hinterland, exploring the Byzantine crypt and witnessing the revival of ancient looms in Casamassella. Discover Giurdignano's megalithic garden and savor a lunch featuring local products. Conclude the day in Porto Badisco for seaside relaxation.

Day 4 - THE PARK ROAD: FROM PORTO BADISCO TO LEUCA (45 KM)

Cycle along the scenic coastal road, admiring the terraced landscapes and dry-stone walls. Spend the night in Gagliano del Capo and enjoy a traditional barbecue highlighting local cuisine.

Day 5 - CAPO DI LEUCA: FROM GAGLIANO TO ALLISTE (40 KM)

Explore the "Capo di Leuca," delving into the region's lesser-known yet captivating sites. Visit historic hamlets, archaeological monuments, and the golden sands of the "Maldives of Salento." Conclude the day in Ugento's countryside.

Day 6 - THE IONIAN COAST: FROM ALLISTE TO GALLIPOLI (29 KM)

Venture along the Ionian Coast to "Punta della Suina" and explore Gallipoli's churches, alleys, and fish market. Enjoy an aperitif with a sunset view before settling in at the Gallipoli campsite.

Day 7 - WAY BACK FROM GALLIPOLI TO LECCE (52 KM)

Return journey along the Ionian Coast, stopping at the "Natural Reserve of Porto Selvaggio" for a swim break. Explore Nardò's baroque historical center and Copertino's Norman castle before returning to Lecce for a final dinner.

Day 8 – BYE-BYE SALENTO!
