Central area of an expansive vineyard on the slopes of the historic town of Urueña, currently the cultural center of the Area. This signifies the first wine from the CYL estate. Continuation brief journey to Urueña, 6km, acknowledged as the Book House. We returned to the Casona, had a light dinner, and then accommodation.

DAY 2: D.O Cigales

After breakfast, we can take a nice walk around the estate—over 18,000 square meters—before starting the day’s route. Cigales (Valladolid) is 70 km away, with an approximate bus ride of 45 minutes. It is known as the birthplace of clarete, a pale and very aromatic wine. Its more than 300 underground wineries and the monumental 16th-century Church of Santiago are the main attractions of this small town. We will head to Finca Museum, located 4 km away, for a visit to the vineyards and a traditional winery with Iberian products, where we’ll taste their exceptional red wine, Museum Reserva. On the way back, we’ll stop in Medina de Rioseco, 40 km away, where the Antonio de Ulloa boat awaits us for a cruise along the majestic and unique Canal of Castile. Approximate duration: 1 hour. We’ll return to La Casona, 30 km, to end the day with another delicious light dinner.

DAY 3: D.O Ribera Duero

After a restorative breakfast overlooking the estate, we set off on a new wine route. 110 km awaits us, reaching the birthplace of the Ribera del Duero, Peñafiel, a historic town in Castile, famous for its 10th-century castle that dominates the town center and for its long-standing winemaking tradition. A symbol of Ribera del Duero wine tourism, the Provincial Wine Museum is located in its southern courtyard. We head to Padilla de Duero, just 4 km away, where we will visit TRE3SMANO, the most prominent winery on the “Golden Mile.” Located near the ancient Vaccaeo-Roman city of Pintia, inhabited by the pre-Roman Vaccaeo people, considered the first to consume wine. There, a premium tasting awaits us, topping off with their most special wine, Tm. We return to Tiedra to end the day with a light dinner.

DAY 4: D.O RUEDA

After another breakfast featuring locally sourced local produce, we’ll continue our wine route. This time, the distance is short: just 40 km from Rueda, the town that gives its name to the Rueda D.O. We’ll visit the jewel of Serrada, Bodega DE ALBERTO, a family winery over 350 years old, where the tradition and art of artisanal winemaking have been preserved. We’ll tour its 17th-century underground galleries, its demijohn cellar, and its barrel and solera room. Finally, we’ll sample its wines and enjoy a tasting of cured meats, cheeses, and sweets. On the way back, we’ll make a brief stop in Tordesillas, where Mr. Baonza will delight us with his artisanal meringue ice cream in its square. After a short break at the Casona, 1.5 km away, the Tiedra Astronomical Center awaits us for dinner while gazing at the stars.

DAY 5: D.O BIERZO

We’re preparing for a slightly longer, but very interesting, trip. 190 km separate us from Cacabelos, a small town full of life, nourished by pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, and just 6 km from the Palacio de Canedo, where we’ll enjoy the wines of El Bierzo. This 18th-century palace is surrounded by vineyards and is located in the small town of Canedo. Here, you can learn about organic farming and how all their products are made. Be seduced by Mencía and Godello, native varieties with very distinct characteristics that, especially in the case of Mencía, you won’t find almost anywhere else in the world. On the way back, we’ll visit Astorga, Gaudí’s Palace, the Chocolate Museum, the Roman walls, and the Cathedral—these are just some of the wonders we can enjoy. Return to Tiedra. Light dinner and well-deserved rest

DAY 6: D.O TORO

We’re about to visit the last DO of our intense trip. In just 18 km, we reach Toro, a historic and monumental city, a reflection of its notable historical role, especially significant between the 12th and 16th centuries, where it was the royal seat and the site of the Cortes. Its historic center is home to authentic monumental gems, among which the Collegiate Church of Santa María la Mayor stands out. After visiting its most notable monuments, we’ll head to BODEGA FARIÑA, the first winery to export its wines with over 80 years of history. It produces high-quality wines using Tinta de Toro grapes and its own vineyard at over 300 Hz. Wine tasting and traditional lunch at the winery. Back in Tiedra, we’ll visit its 15th-century castle, a lavender interpretation center. At La Casona, a BBQ dinner of lamb skewers cooked on vine shoots and a little flamenco with Ismael el Nano awaits us.
