DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND OVERNIGHT IN MARSALA

Upon arrival at Palermo/Trapani Airport, collect the rental car and proceed to explore Palermo at your leisure.

Journey to Marsala for overnight accommodation.

Suggested Itinerary: Begin in Palermo with a visit to the renowned Teatro Massimo opera house, followed by the vibrant “Il Capo” market reminiscent of an African souk. Sample the local street food delicacy, the Sicilian “Arancina,” and continue exploring the city’s historic sites like the Cathedral, Royal Palace, and Palatine Chapel. Conclude the day with a trip to Monreale to witness the Cathedral’s intricate mosaics before returning to Marsala.

DAY 2: AGRIGENTO (OVERNIGHT IN MARSALA)

Start the day with breakfast in Marsala and journey to Agrigento to explore the Temples’ Valley, including Juno, Concorde, Hercules, and Castor and Pollux temples.

Return to Marsala for an overnight stay.

DAY 3: MARSALA STAGNONE, ERICE AND SEGESTA (OVERNIGHT IN MARSALA)

After breakfast, venture to Marsala to discover its salt works and vineyards. Visit the Riserva dello Stagnone with its picturesque salt pans and windmills. Explore the island of Favignana after breakfast by driving to Trapani/Marsala Port and boarding a boat. Discover the island’s coastal beauty, visit Stabilimento Florio, hike to the Castle of Santa Caterina, and explore the enchanting Grotto of Lovers.

Return to Marsala for overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: DEPARTURE

Drive to Palermo Airport, return the car, and conclusion of services.
