DAY 1: ROME (OVERNIGHT IN ROME)

Upon arrival at Rome Airport, collect the rental car and proceed to Rome. The day is unscheduled, allowing for self-guided exploration of the city.

Stay overnight in Rome.

DAY 2: ROME (OVERNIGHT IN ROME)

Begin the day with breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure to discover Rome’s iconic landmarks and immerse in its rich history.

Recommended itinerary: Visit renowned sites such as the Pyramid of Cestius, the Mouth of Truth, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, and the Colosseum. Explore Santa Maria Maggiore, Republic Square, Piazza Venezia, and the Quirinale. Traverse the historic center to see Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Via Condotti, Via del Corso, Piazza del Popolo, and Villa Borghese. Proceed along Lungotevere to admire the Palace of Justice and Castel Sant’Angelo.

Stay overnight in Rome.

DAY 3: ROME (OVERNIGHT IN ROME)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy another day of independent exploration in Rome.

Suggested itinerary: Visit the Vatican Museums, home to a vast collection of art ranging from paintings and sculptures to tapestries and antiquities. Marvel at the Sistine Chapel, renowned for Michelangelo’s ceiling frescoes and The Last Judgment, along with the Raphael Rooms.

Stay overnight in Rome.

DAY 4: FLORENCE (DRIVE TO MONTECATINI TERME)

Following breakfast, drive to Montecatini. En route, consider visiting Florence, a treasure trove of art and culture.

Recommended itinerary: Begin with a visit to Santa Croce, the largest Franciscan church in Italy, and explore the historic Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria. Don’t miss the renowned Uffizi Gallery before strolling through the city streets and enjoying a coffee at Piazza della Repubblica.

Travel to Montecatini Terme for overnight accommodation.

DAY 5: SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO (OVERNIGHT IN MONTECATINI TERME)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and opt to relax in Montecatini Terme or explore Siena and San Gimignano.

Suggested itinerary: Venture into the picturesque Chianti region between Siena and Florence, renowned for its vineyards and olive groves. Discover San Gimignano’s medieval towers and Siena’s Gothic architecture, including the Palazzo Pubblico and Torre del Mangia.
Proceed to Siena to admire its historic center, characterized by the Piazza del Campo and the Palazzo Pubblico.

Stay overnight in Montecatini Terme.

DAY 6: PISA & LUCCA (OVERNIGHT IN MONTECATINI TERME)

Following breakfast, enjoy a day at leisure or visit Pisa and Lucca.

Recommended itinerary: Explore the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa in the Square of Miracles, which also features the Cathedral and Baptistery. Continue to Lucca to appreciate its medieval charm, including the Guinigi Tower and the Church of San Michele.

Stay overnight in Montecatini Terme.

DAY 7: TRASIMENO LAKE, PERUGIA & ASSISI (DRIVE TO ROME)

After breakfast, drive back to Rome or opt to visit Trasimeno Lake, Perugia, and Assisi.

Suggested itinerary: Journey through the Tuscan countryside, stopping at Passignano sul Trasimeno and Perugia. Explore Perugia’s historic center with architectural gems like Palazzo dei Priori and the Cathedral. Continue to Assisi to visit landmarks such as Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and St. Francis’ Basilica.

Return to Rome for overnight stay.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out by 10:00 (*).

Drive to Rome Airport, return the car, and conclude your journey.
