DAY 1: TAORMINA AREA (SUNDAY)

Upon arrival at Catania Airport, retrieve your luggage and opt for a group transfer to the hotel. Room availability begins after 14:00.

Upon check-in at the hotel, you will receive the itinerary. Today is unscheduled, allowing for exploration of the city.

Dinner (if reserved) and overnight accommodation.

DAY 2:  ETNA (MONDAY) (INCLUDED)

Commence the day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking with the tour escort to Mt. Etna, Sicily’s highest peak and Europe’s most active volcano. The surroundings of the volcano form the “Park of Etna,” one of Italy’s largest protected areas. Witness the diverse vegetation and landscapes en route to the “Silvestri Craters” at approximately 1,900 meters. Optional activities include a jeep or cable car excursion (additional cost).

After sampling local Sicilian delicacies, return to the hotel.

DAY 3:  SYRACUSE (TUESDAY) (INCLUDED)

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel and journey to Syracuse, renowned for its captivating archaeological sites, including the Archeological Park (additional cost), Roman Amphitheatre, Greek Theatre, Ear of Dionysus, Cave of the Cordari, Island of Ortigia, and the historic cathedral.

Return to the hotel for dinner (if reserved) and an overnight stay.

DAY 4: AGRIGENTO (WEDNESDAY) (OPTIONAL)

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting the tour escort for a trip to Agrigento.

Explore the Temples’ Valley, featuring landmarks like the Temple of Juno, Temple of Concorde, Temple of Hercules, and Temple of Castor and Pollux.

Return to Letojanni for an overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5: TAORMINA COAST TO COAST BY BOAT (THURSDAY) (INCLUDED); “SNORKELING” (OPTIONAL)

After breakfast, embark on a boat excursion, “Taormina Coast to Coast by Boat.”

Experience the natural beauty of the Giardini/Naxos-Taormina coastline. The tour departs from the port of Giardini Naxos, offering panoramic views of Mt. Etna and the region’s stunning vistas. Discover caves, including the renowned “Grotta Azzurra,” weather permitting, and explore the Nature Reserve of Isola Bella.

Optional Activity: Engage in snorkeling to explore the captivating seabed with its diverse marine life. Immerse yourself in the beauty of “Isola Bella” and “Grotta Azzurra,” witnessing unique coastal formations. Enjoy informative insights into the area’s history during the tour, complemented by refreshments and a welcoming atmosphere. DAY 6: AEOLIAN ISLANDS “LIPARI & VULCANO” (FRIDAY) (OPTIONAL)

Commence the day with breakfast at the hotel. The Aeolian Islands, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, offer a memorable experience. Depart by bus with a tour leader to Milazzo port and proceed by private motorboat to Lipari.

Explore the old town, archaeological park, and cathedral, followed by shopping opportunities. Sail along the “Faraglioni” and the “Horse’s Cave” before continuing to Vulcano for potential mud baths in a designated area (admission fee required). Eco-tax is payable on board, excluding bus transportation.

Overnight stay.

DAY 7: SICILY GODFATHER TOUR (SATURDAY) (OPTIONAL)

Start the day with breakfast at the hotel and depart for Forza D’Agrò, a picturesque village overlooking Taormina.

Embark on a cinematic journey by visiting locales featured in “The Godfather” film. Stroll through the village’s narrow streets to discover iconic settings, including the Durazzesco Arch and the Cathedral, renowned for hosting memorable scenes from the movie. Proceed to Savoca, another filming location where you can visit the famous Bar Vitelli featured in the movie.

Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

DAY 8: DEPARTURE and “ARRIVEDERCI” (SUNDAY)

Conclude your stay with breakfast at the hotel.

Check-out by 10:00.
